Keller Williams takes pride in being a company built by agents, for agents, and agent education has been a primary focus since the company’s founding.

Keller Williams’ coaching arm, KW MAPS Coaching, serves as a wellspring of coaching and educational programs that can help you become a better agent and expand your business. Included among MAPS’ offerings is the foundational coaching program Business Objective: A Life by Design, also known as Onward BOLD®.

Originally developed in 2009 and relaunched in 2025, Onward BOLD serves as a bridge to help you transform from the real estate agent you are today to the one you aspire to be in the future.

Over a short six weeks, the program provides tools to help you build a sustainable, predictable, and profitable real estate business, from optimizing your current database and improving your sales skills to enhancing your open houses and events — and so much more.

In addition to covering business fundamentals, you’ll also learn how to build a personal brand, create social media content, build wealth, and reset your mindset for growth.

“Every course out there can teach you some sort of skill set to increase production,” Keller Williams® real estate agent and BOLD coach Kyle Evans says. “They’re a dime a dozen.” But what sets the BOLD program apart, Kyle says, is its focus on developing both mindset and practical skills at the same time. There’s nothing else like it in the industry.

Onward BOLD serves agents at every level, as well as market center leaders and productivity coaches. Because skills and goals change over time, it’s designed to be taken annually, and participants gain new insights each time they take the course. Set up as a series of one-day classes that take place over six weeks, sessions are hosted throughout the year. Each is taught by an expert KW MAPS Coach and held in person at different market center locations across the country.

Keep reading to learn how Onward BOLD can help boost your abilities as a real estate agent, change your thinking, and transform your business.

    BOLD® Program Launch and Overview

BOLD has been helping real estate agents transform their businesses and lives for more than a decade, and it continues to evolve. When the program was reimagined in 2025 as Onward BOLD, KW MAPS introduced a new curriculum and content from KW Founder Gary Keller.

When you enroll in Onward BOLD, you receive much more than “how-to” lectures. The program covers the tools and systems you need to successfully operate your business, with a curriculum that draws from KW’s own publications library, including The Millionaire Real Estate Agent, the MREA playbooks, Shift, and The ONE Thing. The updated BOLD also includes a new set of BOLD Laws and 10 new universal BOLD Truths to help guide you in creating a successful business and fulfilling personal life, plus elements from KW’s Quantum Leap and Value2  courses.

BOLD’s dynamic curriculum means lead generation strategies are tailored to current market conditions, and the revised course cadence is designed to help you produce results both during and between weekly sessions.

A Focus on Mindset and Accountability

In addition to business fundamentals, Onward BOLD helps participants reflect on what it means to live a life by design — not by default — and take intentional steps to realize their own vision for success. It helps provide answers to questions about the kind of life you want to live — personally, professionally, and financially — and how to get there.

Since its launch, thousands of agents have transformed their businesses and personal lives by implementing the program’s principles. This success comes not only from the teachings of BOLD coaches but also from peer-to-peer accountability and the experience of seeing others excel through the program.

Accountability frameworks include new gamification features that let you track your wins as you move through the program. When you complete tasks and establish growth-oriented business habits, you earn points, which makes tracking your progress engaging and fun, and helps keep you motivated. Earned points can be used to redeem any “fouls” accumulated during the six-week course, which can occur when weekly assignments aren’t completed. (Four fouls prevent graduation.)

“The new Onward BOLD is Gary Keller’s love letter to the industry,” Kyle says. “It’s six weeks of high accountability and wisdom.”

Benefits of BOLD®: Why Agents Enroll

Agents may initially enroll in Onward BOLD to improve professionally, but they quickly discover the opportunities it provides to improve personally, too. KW MAPS Coach Hudson Warren describes Onward BOLD as “an opportunity to fill the gaps in your personal world, your business world, and anywhere you don’t love the results you’re currently receiving.”

Hudson has a simple self-test for agents who are unsure about enrolling in BOLD. He asks them to look at their business, income, and personal life to assess if each category rates a 10 out of 10. It turns out, there’s almost always some area that could use improvement.

“Once you’re aware of the gaps that are in your business and/or your life, it’s an easy decision to get into BOLD.”

    Hudson Warren

Improved business results are one of the key reasons people join the program, and Hudson notes that the average production is 11 pieces of business over the course of six weeks in BOLD. And not only has he witnessed his students succeed through BOLD, but Hudson has experienced it for himself. After nine years with some success as a real estate agent, Hudson moved across the country and had to start over. He went nine months without selling a house before he decided to give BOLD a shot.

Prior to enrolling in BOLD, Hudson had sold 20 houses in his best year. Over the course of the following five years, he committed to taking BOLD an average of three times annually — and it paid off. In his fifth year, Hudson closed 219 transactions. He’s now a seven-figure earner.

Hudson says BOLD taught him something you don’t learn when getting your license.

“(BOLD) taught me how to think like a businessperson — to run my business like a business,” Hudson says. “That’s a big thing, looking at your business like a business, because they don’t teach that in real estate school.”

Hudson also attributes what he learned in BOLD to the success he’s found personally — including getting married, having six children, and becoming a KW MAPS coach. He says BOLD has given him the education and skills to live a life he never thought was in the cards.

“It’s opened a lot of doors for me,” Hudson reflects. “Because I put myself in an environment that was focused on ‘can’ versus ‘can’t’ and ‘how’ versus ‘how not.’”

    BOLD® Stories of Transformation

Follow-up and networking are two critical areas agents can expect to improve on when they enroll in Onward BOLD.

Hudson recalls an agent he worked with who was doing well, though not great, who had admittedly become a little complacent. The agent felt she had run low on people to talk to. Because BOLD puts participants in a position to have multiple conversations every week, the agent found herself talking to a builder she’d spoken to in the past about a new development he was creating.

While in BOLD, she called the builder again to see if he had chosen an agent for the project. The builder said he had, but since an agreement hadn’t yet been signed, the agent asked if they could meet. The follow-up paid off: After meeting with the builder, she landed a contract for 256 listings.

“I’ve had a few like that — probably three or four agents who, just because they’ve been blitzing their lead generation, picked up entire neighborhoods to sell,” Hudson says.

Kyle has also seen firsthand the impact BOLD can have on work and life — for himself as well as the agents he’s taught and coached. He took BOLD not long after becoming a full-time agent, and he says he quickly saw his business “skyrocket.” Kyle credits BOLD with helping him get out of his own way, changing the way he thought about things, and learning to “follow the plays” that led him to where his career is now — with a projected 100 to 110 homes sold by the end of 2025.

After finding his own success through BOLD, Kyle decided to pay it forward as a coach, and he says the difference Onward BOLD makes is impressive, even for those just starting out. “You have people come in, getting their license and getting six, seven, or 10 deals — while the average real estate agent is selling less than four homes. You have a brand-new agent who, in six, seven weeks, is smashing it. It’s so cool.”

When an agent approached Kyle and admitted he was down to his last $2,000 and may have to give up on real estate, Kyle encouraged him to enroll in BOLD. Kyle was so confident that it would help, he offered to refund the agent’s money if he followed the program and didn’t get what he needed.

The agent got what he needed — and more. After completing his first BOLD, he reported back to Kyle that he had taken five listings, put three or four under contract, and had $40,000 of pending income.

While BOLD has shown it can help agents produce big numbers, it also plays a critical role in developing the mindset needed to be productive, incorporating strategies and principles that help participants overcome limiting beliefs. Through coaching and the new BOLD Laws and BOLD Truths, agents develop a growth-oriented perspective that allows them to think bigger and realize levels of success they might have believed were inaccessible to them.

There are plenty of courses that can show you how to be a better real estate agent, but that’s typically where the training ends. And BOLD is about so much more than training — it’s designed to launch your career and a life by design. Not only will you pick up tools to enhance your real estate business, you’ll learn to adjust your mindset so you can spot and embrace opportunities that can take your professional and personal life to new heights.

What’s unique about Onward BOLD is that agents can benefit from it regardless of where they are in their career journey, whether they’re a top agent or an aspiring one.

“How do you become a top producer? You think and behave like one, and the easiest way to do that is to be with them and learn the same things they are, so you can go implement them,” he says.

Meanwhile, Kyle acknowledges that for any agent who might be thinking “there’s got to be more than this,” BOLD is a great place to reset your mindset and work habits and refresh your skills.

“Just like with anything, you get out what you put in,” Kyle says. “I don’t know if I’ve ever heard of a program where so many people say, ‘That changed my life.’ It could very well do the same thing for you.”

    Your transformation begins with BOLD.
